Adoptions

We request all potential adopters to fill out our adoption application & meet all requirements, such as proper housing & enrichment setups. A current photo of your cage/breeding setup will be required prior to approval. 

We provide carriers for pet mice but those picking up pet rats will need to bring their own rat appropriate carrier. Please ask us for suggestions if need!

Mice & rats are available for adoption at 8 weeks old. Male mice can only live solo while female mice do best in groups of 3 or more. Female mice will not be adopted out alone. Rats must be adopted in same sex pairs at a minimum, we do not adopt out solo rats.

We currently meet at either the Wendy's on Ringgold Road in Chattanooga TN or the CVS on Battlefield Parkway in Ringgold GA. All other meet up locations will incur our current price per gallon transport fee. We are happy to transport within a 2-hour radius of Ringgold GA/Chattanooga TN! Ask for a quote! Chattanooga is located in the Eastern time zone; all pick up times will be eastern time.

We do ask that all rodents be picked up within 21 days of the deposit being paid. In the event that they are not picked up, we reserve the right to make them available for adoption again. If it will take longer then 21 days, a boarding fee of $2/mouse per day and $6/rat per day will be assessed. For those using a third-party small animal transport service we ask that you reserve your rodents within one month of the start of the transport.

For those using an outside small animal transport, the entire amount is due within 24 hours of receiving your invoice. For local adopters & those using our transport services, a 50% nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of receiving your invoice. This will reserve the rodents you have picked out. The nonrefundable deposit is only refundable if the issue is entirely on our end or - in regard to those traveling via a small animal transport - the transport cancels their run & no other transport can be used.

If you are a breeder or wanting to breed, we do ask that you fill out the corresponding adoption application above as well as our breeder form. 

Fancy Rats: $40-$60

Retired/Older Rats: $25-$30

Fancy Mice: $20-$30

Retired/Older Mice: $10-$15

*Older mice/rats are 6 months plus

Transport: $0.45/mile round trip (rounded)
